Church Based Events

Marriage and relationship issues are high up on churches' agenda. But it's not always easy or appropriate for church leaders to address these issues themselves.

CMM offer tailor-made events to churches and other Christian organisations. We'll also be delighted to help you develop your own long-term strategy for addressing relationship issues.

First of all, decide who you are aiming at:

  • Church members?
  • Church members and people on the fringe of the church?
  • The wider community?

We'll advise you how to target the event to meet your aims.

There are a variety of formats:

  • Friday evening buffet with talk, followed by events on Saturday.
  • All day Saturday.
  • Separate Saturday morning events for men and women (makes child care easier) followed by joint events in the afternoon and evening.
  • Saturday morning and afternoon events followed by evening meal together with short after-dinner talk.
  • Saturday events plus speaking at Sunday service or services.
  • Midweek evening event.
  • etc!

What's the cost?

Naturally it depends on the type of event and how many people are involved. We charge between £200 and £400 per event plus a contribution towards travelling expenses. This includes: initial consultation meeting, preparation and all materials. We ask churches to be responsible for the venue and any catering costs.

If you're thinking about an event and have a particular date in mind, we encourage you to make a provisional booking as soon as possible; we get booked a long way in advance. There is no charge for a provisional booking. Of course we'll always try and help at short notice!
